Welcome to Masterpiece Music Lessons, San Diego. We bring music to your door. Masterpiece Music Lessons, San Diego is a group of six highly qualified private music instructors bringing in home or studio lessons to the county. We were founded and continue to be run by our teachers.

Are the teachers qualified?
Every teacher is either nearly completed or completed a BA in Music or higher degree; each also has private teaching experience. We all also perform consistently in a variety of venues and styles. One of the greatest advantages we have at MP Lessons is that we are very keen on such a wide variety of music. We can honestly teach you, or your child anything you want: from Bach to Coldplay, Beethoven to Jimi Hendrix, and Miles Davis to Rage Against the Machine.

How much do Masterpiece Music Lessons cost?
Masterpiece music lessons is a teacher managed organization. There is no middle man increasing the price of our service. Some of us have worked for lesson arrangement services and found the service they offer sub-par, which is why we started our own organization. A lessons arrangement service usually charges about 30+ dollars for half hour lessons and the private instructor keeps 15 dollars of the 30+ dollars while 15+ dollars would go to "running the business." Both the teacher and the student do not get their fair share in the deal. Although our prices vary from teacher to teacher here at mplessons.org, you can expect our price to be about half the price of the average lesson arrangement service, giving the teacher better compensation as well. It's a win/win situation!

What age groups do you teach?
People are rarely too young, and never too old to experience the joy that music has brought us. We are experienced in teaching all age groups. Some children can start as young as three depending on the instrument they are learning.

Do you offer any performance opportunities?
Yes we regularly hold both formal recitals and casual concerts.

Where are you located?
We all vary in location but surely can teach in the Downtown area. We all also have access to a teaching studio in Point Loma.

		Joseph Abraham Drums and Percussion Joseph enjoys all things percussive. He started out as a self taught drum-set player. Already a professional drummer, Joseph began studying in high school with Paul Marchetti, a Maui legend. When later attending Point Loma Nazarene University Joseph studied with local San Diego percussive veteran Pat Pfiffner for over five years. While attending college Joseph invested time becoming a capible orchestral percussionist, developing his skill as a mallet and tympani player with the help of Pfiffner. Joseph also enjoys composition and arranging. His playing credits are too long to include on this page. 		Gabriela Sanchez Violin and Viola Gabriela is the section leader of the Point Loma Orchestra Viola section. She has been formally studying violin and viola since the age of five. Gabrela also is the music librarian for the Point Loma String projects where she is approaching her forth year teaching string classes. She is always in demand, teaching private lessons frequently. Although she is a stellar classical player, her rock and pop playing credits include Louie XIV, Maren Parusel and many more. She fits well to MP Music Lessons' commitment to a strong balance between classical training and pop practicality.		Watch Gabriela's audition video for "My Grammy Moment International Competition."
		Jarel Paguio Piano Jarel is a music education major soon to finish his degree in Spring of 2010. Jarel is adept as both a jazz pianist, classical pianist, and pop accompanist and has won various scholarships and awards. Jarel has been teaching since his highschool days and aims to one day start a teaching studio here in San Diego. Jarel currently enjoys playing in the Will Shine Band and the Portraits Trio (portraitstrio.com).		Watch Jarel performing on Piano and Vocals with "The Portraits."
		Will Henry Guitar Will Henry is a professional classical guitarist. He has been passionately studying the classical guitar for eight years but his study of music began many years before. He now plays at weddings and various functions throughout the San Diego area. He has also enjoys teaching students of all ages and has been doing so for the past three years. 		Calen Lucas Voice Calen is as versatile a teacher as any at his young age. He has completed his Bachelors in Music and has studies with esteemed instructor and vocalist Craig Johnson. Currently, he is persuing a full time career as in both opera and rock. You can catch Calen rocking out with his power rock quartet, Family Wagon (myspace.com/familywagonmusic).
